Description LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Laboratory Support Specialist in Gainesville, FL . This position is responsible for performing routine laboratory tasks in compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to processing blood specimens and components, including preparation and transport of blood specimens and components. This position performs tasks that support Medical Technologists in their performance of duties. Available shift: ** Shift includes one weekend day per week. May work holidays.** Qualifications - High school diploma or GED- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing- Ability to follow moderately complex oral and written instructions- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing- Ability to organize and manage time effectively- Excellent teamwork skills- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds- Must be available to work one weekend day per week- Valid driver's license.
