Department: SOM KC Pediatrics (PEDS) Pediatrics DDBS Position Title: Associate Professor - Pediatrics (Developmental and Behavioral Sciences) Job Family Group: Academic Job Description Summary: The Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental and Behavioral Sciences, is part of a division that includes 24 faculty members across pediatric psychology, clinical child psychology, developmental psychology, developmental medicine, occupational therapy, and school psychology. The faculty engage in research, teaching, clinical service, professional service, and leadership activities within the department, across the medical center, and within national professional organizations. This is a full-time, tenure-track appointment with an initial probationary period of seven years. Promotion and tenure decisions are based on demonstrated achievement in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. Tenure is granted based on evidence of sustained scholarly contributions, performance that exceeds expected duties, and demonstrated leadership and innovation that contribute to the academic mission and reputation of the University.
