Maintenance Helper (Entry Level)

Job description

Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting skilled trades workers. Provides semi-skilled duties in the performance of a variety of maintenance and repair tasks within the assigned craft area at an apprentice level. EDUCATION: LICENSES: - Assists skilled trade workers with routine installations, repairs, construction and replacement of equipment. - Assists trade personnel in the performance of maintenance and repairs that are unique to the craft area assigned. - Cleans and paints equipment and structures as directed. - Performs area housekeeping. - Performs similar semi-skilled duties within the assigned craft area and trains for higher level positions. - Performs all other duties as assigned. - Possesses mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn building construction, equipment maintenance and repair. - Ability to perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Self-motivated and directed; ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly. - High school diploma or GED is required. - Texas driver's license is required - must have a clean driving record.
