Job Description Location: 2300 Powell Avenue Erie, PA 16506 Direct Report: Tooling Supervisors: Purpose: Machine mold bases to ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality of tooling systems. Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Machine plates, pockets, and features for mold base plates Set up plates (tombstone, magnets, clamps, etc.) Perform layout, drilling, tapping, and boring operations Ensure alignment and squareness of components Read and interpret mold base drawings Authorities (including, but not limited to): Verify and approve dimensional accuracy before release Escalate design or print discrepancies: Recommend tooling or process improvements: Primary Duties (including, but not limited to): Machine mold base plates Hold tight tolerances: Ensure that alignment and tolerances are being maintained Maintain documentation: Ensure proper fits of shelf components Qualifications/Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of mold base experience or equivalent training Preferred Skills/Experience: Strong blueprint reading skills Experience with large plate machining: Possession of a valid Journeymen’s license Horizontal CNC experience: Records: In...
