Job description

Overview The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is designed to develop the skill set of an Engineering Apprentice to a point where the candidate can assume a maintenance engineering position within two years of the start of the program. The Engineering Apprentice reports to a designated team of mentors. The candidate will go through a rigorous training program which could include internal and external training, on the job training and may include classroom work. Specific training will include knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, HVAC and plumbing as well as an understanding of any other specific commercial and residential systems. Responsibilities: The program is designed to train the Engineering Apprentice to a point whereby the candidate can assume the following responsibilities in a full-time capacity: - Operates, maintains and logs all HVAC and MEP equipment under the direction of their supervisor. - Complete tenant service requests and develops and maintains positive tenant relations through prompt, courteous response to tenant requests. - Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, plumbing and electrical systems. - Maintain computerized or manual equipment l...
