Senior Propulsion Design Engineer Department: Propulsion: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Redondo Beach: Reporting To: Kevin Miller, VP of Propulsion Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000 / year Description: As a Sr. Propulsion Design Engineer at Impulse Space you will own all aspects of propulsion component design from concept to product realization, while working closely with a fast-paced, agile team that strives to make a high-performance spacecraft from a clean sheet design. Responsibilities: - Design propulsion system valves and actuators - Own all aspects of component design from concept to product realization - Layout complex and highly integrated fluid and mechanical systems - Generate detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings - Perform fluid, thermal, and structural analysis as required - Work with the team and external sources to procure materials, fabricate parts, and complete assemblies - Resolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful solutions Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field - 6+ years of experience with flight propulsion components including cryogenic, high-pressure, and high performance applications - 6+ ye...
