Position Overview and Responsibilities While carrying out protection duties, a Security Guard or Officer at OMRF plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment that enables groundbreaking research, collaboration, and innovation. In addition to ensuring safety, this position serves as a key public-facing role – the Security Guard or Officer directly represents OMRF and contributes to a welcoming and professional atmosphere for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities include: PATROL & SURVEILLANCE - Keep abreast of all security policies and know where they are located for quick reference. - Perform foot patrols of Foundation buildings and grounds. - Check interior and exterior doors. Ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure. - Monitor entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and others during business hours and/or special events. - Evaluate, address, and take necessary steps with suspicious persons, vehicles, or circumstances. - Report violations of company security, safety, and procedural policies.
