Job description
General: - Flight Nurses should be knowledgeable, participate, and promote Acadian/AirMed mission, vision, and goals. - Conducts him/herself as a leader, a role model, and a clinical resource. - Participates in meetings with the Air Med Management group to include disaster drills, staff meetings, and community/hospital meetings. - Identifies areas of concern and communicates with Flight Line Supervisors, Associate Quality Improvement Supervisors, Operations Manager/Supervisor, Chief Flight Nurse, and Quality Improvement Supervisor as necessary. - Promotes company health and wellness programs and initiatives. - Assists and works with Associate Quality Improvement Supervisors and Flight Line Supervisors as needed. - Special project as assigned. Safety: - Communicates with Operations Manager/Supervisor and Lead Pilot to assure timely identification of safety issues, reporting, and resolution. - Promote and uphold safety standards for self, flight line staff, and patients to include HSE standards. - Reports fatigue issues as needed and consults with AMOC/Air Med management.
