Job description

As a technician assigned to an operations district, demonstrates advanced functional skills in at least one functional specialty (corrosion, compression, controls, compliance, measurement, pipeline) and two associated fields identified as supporting functions; applies skills to identify and resolve specialty-specific operating issues in a district; completes general preventive maintenance tasks as assigned and demonstrates an overall seasoned knowledge of pipeline operations. Completes preventive maintenance tasks related to turbine compression and all related subsystems (including start/stop, operation, safety shutdown and controls), meter stations, pipeline facilities, corrosion control and right-of-way maintenance and provides operations problem resolution support to an assigned district. Interfaces with technical support, government agencies, local emergency planning committees, emergency responders, one-call agencies, landowners and contractors.
