Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter’s 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel’s 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building’s legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan – a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan. Core Essential Functions: This position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities - Replace guest amenities and supplies in room. - Make and clean beds and sheets per Riggs Washington DC Standards. - Remove trash, dirty linens and room service items. - Straighten and clean guest’s living area including (desk, furniture and appliances). - Vacuum carpets and floor. - Report any discrepancies to Housekeeping supervisors. - Hotel Experience is not required – Fun and welcoming personality is a MUST - A minimum of 1-2 years hospitality experience, especially in housekeeping, is preferred but not required - Willingness to learn - Team player - Ability to lift up-to 25 lbs. without any assistance. - Excellent communication skills - Able to work in...
