Job Description The Life Cycle Engineering Department supports the design, construction, and testing of in-service Navy DDG 51 and DDG 1000 surface combatants in multiple locations around the world. Our DDG 51 Engineering team is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the engineering and design of Electrical Power and Lighting systems designs for Ship Alterations. Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Electrical Engineer I ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones. Key Responsibilities: Safety Leadership: - Take personal responsibility for your own safety through hazard identification and mitigation. - Ensure practices/processes are safely executed. - Communicate safety concerns and model safe behaviors.
