Job description

The Pittsburg State University School/Department of nursing is accepting applications for an Assistant Instructional Professor of Nursing to teach and supervise pre-licensure nursing students in face-to-face theory and clinical courses. This position participates in planning and organizing courses and student experiences, teaching, and working with other faculty to coordinate curriculum content. Duties and Responsibilities: Participates with other faculty members in course development, curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates and supervises teaching and learning experiences for students. Maintains clinical expertise in specialty areas through continuing education activities and utilization of appropriate clinical resources. Serves on university and departmental committees. Provides leadership in interdisciplinary activities, i.e., voluntary health agencies, and other community agencies. Participates in professional programs and organizations by accepting responsibility on local and/or state levels. Evaluates attainment of professional goals.
