The Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine is recruiting for a Clinician Educator position at rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in neurosurgical trauma and spinal surgery. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educator is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The successful applicant is required to have a M.D. degree and obtain medical licensure within the State of California. Responsibilities will include the surgical and medical care of inpatients and outpatients at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) and Regional Medical Center (RMC), which are teaching affiliates of Stanford University School of Medicine. Primary clinical assignment will be at RMC, in San Jose, California, which is a busy Level-2 trauma center. The appointment consists of extensive exposure to the surgical treatment of cranial and spinal trauma, tumor, as well as minimally invasive and complex spinal surgery.
