SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

SBH Health System is searching for a qualified Senior Accountant-General Accounting to join our Finance department. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the General Accounting Department and is responsible for supporting the monthly close process, maintaining the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and audit support. Qualifications: Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience required. Healthcare or nonprofit healthcare experience is strongly preferred. CPA or CPA-eligible preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial data analysis are required. Critical thinking and customer service skills are a must, and the ideal candidate will be able to problem solve with some supervision. Effective written and verbal communication skills and flexibility to adjust to a dynamic work environment and be a team player preferred.
