MRI TECHNOLOGIST (PRN) - IMAGING

Job description

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a team-oriented MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Team! This is an per-diem position that will likely be one day a week, that will include weekends. The MRI Technologist performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of MR scans. Perform MR duties in compliance with Imaging Department and legal requirements. Performs MR imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols. Ensures operation of MR equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Has thorough knowledge of MRI physics and principals, with emphasis on continually learning the new applications and developments as they become available. Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols. Assist radiologist with interventional MR procedures.
