PRN Operating Room CST needed for multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center. Scheduling: 1-3 days per week, depending on the needs of the center. Various Monday-Friday, day shifts. JOB TITLE : Surgical Technologist (Certified) SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Physician and/or Registered Nurse GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Surgical technologists, also called scrubs and surgical or operating room technicians, assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Surgical technologists are members of operating room teams, which most commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses. As a Surg Tech, you will be trained and scrubbed in all specialties (ophthalmology, ENT, pain management, ortho and retina). Picking cases and room turnover is expected to be done by the team. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: - A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program - CST certification, or based on state regulations, they may be grandfathered in, without being certified - Prefer 1-2 years clinical experience in an operating room setting.
