Description Nature of Work: Under general supervision, performs entry-level technical or specialized work in maintaining and repairing Bonita Springs Utilities (BSU’s) equipment and facilities. Performs tasks in the areas of construction, maintenance and repair of waterlines, valves, fire hydrants, meters and any other equipment related to the distribution system. Responsibilities: The intent of this job description is to provide a summary of tasks performed in this classification. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. - Installs and changes meters, waterlines, and other equipment as directed. - Maintains and repairs fire hydrants, waterlines, meters, valves, and other equipment related to the distribution system. - Maintains and repairs wastewater force mains and gravity collection mains and laterals. - Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies on vehicle. - Locates and marks water mains, force mains, and gravity mains . - Inspects and tests tools, vehicles, and safety gear; reviews and restocks supplies; performs service vehicle inventory - Repairs service leaks and/or main leaks and breaks. - Perfo...
