They are responsible for attaching and detaching logs to the helicopter’s longline using chokers or rigging gear. Working in challenging terrain, logging hookers ensure that loads are secure and safely positioned for aerial transport. The role demands physical endurance, strong communication skills, and strict adherence to safety protocols to coordinate effectively with the pilot and ground crew.
