Job description

Job Summary Responsible for the Lightera Carrollton Quality System and its compliance to ISO 9001. Is the Management Representative for Quality and has the authority to ensure that the quality management system is Established, Implemented and Maintained. Agent of change, responsible to drive Lean initiatives across the business unit supporting value stream mapping, waste elimination and improvement across all departments and all business processes. Participates on, and facilitates, key improvement teams utilizing Lean and 6 Sigma techniques and tools. Provides a liaison with functional primes on issues effecting product quality and the quality system. Ensures quality of raw materials, provides a liaison with customers and suppliers on quality issues, supervises assigned personnel, and performs other similar duties pertaining to Quality Assurance and Lean implementation.
