SUMMARY: The Senior Health and Safety Sepcialist, Construction supports the implementation, monitoring and improving of the Health, Safety and Environment program, processes and activities in maintaining compliance, mitigating and managing health, safety, environmental and security-related risks and improving our ‘Safety Always’ Culture. Works closely with BGIS Project Management team and Operations teams while providing governance and oversight of construction activities. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Health & Safety Construction Project Support Audit Compliance, Data Maintenance & Reporting - Working within the National Capital Region (NCR) with most of the work at construction sites in Gatineau. Bilingual preferred. - Conduct Project inspections to ensure compliance with regulation and BGIS internal processes/procedures. - Conduct HSE Incident Investigations alongside the Project Team. - Support the Project team to complete HSE start up requirements including proper Notices, Project Specific Health and Safety plans, compliance documents and monitoring throughout the course of the project. - Project HSE site inspections. - Evaluation of sub-contractors HSE plans for compliance....
