Maintenance Technician Assistant

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist in performing preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment and machinery to minimize downtime - Conduct assigned weekly inspections, including checking oil levels, lubricating equipment, and identifying potential issues - Support maintenance technicians with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and changeovers as needed - Complete small-scale maintenance and repair tasks to support continuous production operations - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and production floor areas - Perform basic fabrication work to support equipment repairs and modifications - Operate floor cleaning equipment and ensure production aisles are cleaned on a regular weekly schedule - Perform painting and minor facility improvements to maintain a safe and professional work environment - Assist with production-related projects, including equipment setup and process improvements - Support facility maintenance projects, including building repairs and general upkeep - Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
