Job description

Lyon County Highway Department is seeking a Grader Operator I . This is a full-time, non-exempt position starting at $24.82/hr. The Grader Operator is responsible for operating heavy maintenance and construction equipment, as well as completing semi-skilled manual tasks. This position offers benefits including paid time off and health/dental/vision insurance. A high school diploma (or equivalent) and the appropriate Commercial Driver's License is required for this position. A Hazardous Materials Awareness Level certificate, prior experience, and/or other relevant training are preferred. Successful candidates must complete pre-hire testing including a physical, drug test, and background check prior to starting.
