ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Accountable to the unit Manager and/or the Director of the department. - Assist Patients to and from activities. - Assists with meals and feeding. - Carry out a plan of activities appropriate to the needs of the patients that includes but not limited to: Group social activities, indoor and outdoor activities, daily walks, spiritual programs, opportunity for involvement in planning and implementation of the activity, exercise activities, one-on-one activities and promotion of unit interaction. - Demonstrates and promotes compliance to infection control, legal, and safety standards. - Displays professional commitment and supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among coworkers by maintaining a positive attitude and positive working relationships. - Document all interaction with patient and/or family. - Encourage Family participation in activities and document outcomes Is a member of the nursing care team. - Organizes and prioritizes activities considering patient status and preferences, module activities, and other commitments.
