JOB DESCRIPTION: PURPOSE OF THE JOB The purpose of this job is to support the EHS & Facilities Manager in maintaining and improving the EHS System and ensuring internal and external compliance in Environmental and Health & Safety matters. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the EHS & Facilities Department, the EHS Specialist will perform tasks for 2 locations in Belgium. Support the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager in EHS roles and responsibilities. Collaborate with all departments involved to mitigate EHS risks and threats. Actively promote the EHS culture and support compliance with corporate EHS standards and local legislation, including: EHS Metrics: Follow-up, reporting, escalation of near misses, accidents, energy, water, and waste. Environmental Management System (EMS): Act as steward of ISO 14001 and support compliance with corporate EMS requirements. EDC Waste Stream Plan: First point of contact for timely waste stream pick-up and registration; support procedures and ensure conformity with waste streams and local instructions.
