Per Diem Employee – An employee who is available to work as needed for coverage above and beyond the full time staff members in times of need for efficient patient care. Availability requirements are established by department according to hospital necessity and will include the number and types of shifts, weekends and holidays. Per Diem employees are not eligible for benefits. For overnight shifts worked, a shift differential is offered. This position offers the opportunity for growth within our emergency and specialty services, with the flexibility of you being able to decide which hours you choose to pick. Job Duties may include: - Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit - Partnering with DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures - Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates. - Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment - Completing treatments for hospitalized patients - Executing, monitoring, and recovering assigned sedation and anesthetic events - Assist doctors/technicians before, during, and after procedures with a focus on patient care....
