Job description

JOB PURPOSE: Install, prove-in, trouble shoot, calibrate, modify, maintain, inspect and repair all types of novel, prototype, experimental and conventional electrical and electronic manufacturing, testing and control equipment and meters; and micro, mini, medium and large scale computer systems, computer terminals, printers, disc drives or tape drives that are associated with on-site telecommunications systems. Modify and/or assemble modular software test programs to exercise and test telecommunications computer systems as a functional unit. Equipment is characterized as involving a multiplicity of circuitry and interdependent operating features and extremely critical calibration requirements. Includes the development of trouble shooting and special servicing techniques in the absence of complete procedural information and performing necessary associated and related duties.
