Histology Supervisor The Histology Lab Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Grossing and Histology laboratory sections. This individual will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow, meeting department turnaround times, maintaining high standards of quality, managing personnel, and ensuring compliance with business and regulatory standards. The supervisor will work closely with pathologists, laboratory technicians, and other laboratory professionals, and support colleagues to meet these goals. Core Responsibilities: · Oversee all histology processes: grossing, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, scanning, and case assignment. · Own histology quality systems: implement/monitor QC/QA and applicable QMS programs. · Manage people operations: onboarding, training plans/cross-training, annual competencies, performance management, and scheduling to meet TAT. · Maintain operations: inventory, equipment maintenance, contribute to budgeting and prioritization for equipment purchasing/replacement, workstation organization, and wet tissue storage/disposal per retention and EH&S policies. · Lead troubleshooting; develop team troubleshooting capabilitie...
