Early Childhood Educator - Yaphank, NY

Job description

Prepare and assist with Early Childhood Programs, including Little Farmers Preschool. Assist with festivals and special events when necessary. Assist with the day-to-day operations of Farm Education programs if necessary. This is a part-time permanent 30 hours per week position Required Qualifications: - Associate's degree or similar degree with experience in Early Childhood Education or Outdoor Education - Two years of paid or volunteer experience working with children and the public. - Ability to lift 10-20 pounds unassisted. - Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position. - Ability to meet acceptable background check standards, if required. - Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends, as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Environmental Education. - Additional education and training in the field of education. - Additional education in the areas of agriculture, animal sciences, natural sciences, human development, and consumer sciences. - Additional teaching experience related to educational areas listed above. - Experience teaching subjects related to agriculture, animal scien...
