Job description

Position Summary: A Medical Scribe specializes in medical data entry into an electronic record system, under the direct supervision of the provider. Scribes are vital in instituting an accurate and efficient workflow process. Qualifications: - Experience in a medical center, large health system, or multispecialty group - Athena experience strongly preferred - College level coursework with a clinical emphasis preferred - Medical Terminology and Anatomy/Physiology is preferred - Must have reliable transportation to allow for inter-office I ravels, when necessary. - Must be able to stand for long periods of time Key Responsibilities: - To provide excellent customer service to all patients, visitor and coworkers - Scribes should discretely carry out duties under the direction and control of the provider. A scribe is not a decision maker or interpreter of medical information. - Accompany physician into the patient examination room to assist in transcribing a history and medical exam, and accurately document the physician's encounter with the patient and any others present - List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician - Tr...
