Location: Kearney,Nebraska,United States Great Plains Communications is looking for an experienced Broadband Technician in the KEARNEY, NE area. Duties include but are not limited to: Will perform installation and repair of Internet, phone and tv services to business and residential customers via fiber optic systems. Experience with fiber optics is highly valued for this position. Promotes sale of company products and services along with providing an excellent customer experience. Job Duties: Ability to climb ladders: Ability to dig with hand tools if necessary. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary. Ability to operate a bucket truck as necessary. Ability to install/repair internet and phone services. Ability to interpret staking sheets maps and work orders. Ability to complete staking sheets and completion notices. Ability to drive GPC vehicles daily and possess valid driver’s license. Ability to operate computer daily. Ability to splice cable as necessary. Ability to work non-standard hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to travel for work or training as necessary, (minimal).
