Job description

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for daily and regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical production equipment, and assisting with production by ensuring machines operate correctly. REPORTING TO: Production Manager: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: - Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical machinery, including changing oil and topping off oil on designated machines. - Drain and scrap trim rings. - Maintain wire for each machine (bring in spare wire as needed). - Maintain West Pharm headers (ball blows, die changes, 3rd punch changes, dimensionally maintaining parts, checking parts morning afternoon and evening before leaving for the day and setting counter). - Operate mechanical machinery (cold heading machines) for production purposes, as needed. - Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. - Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance. - Complete installations and troubleshooting on production machinery. - Determine and order parts required for replacement. - Communicate timeline of maintenance and repairs to Production Manager and Engineering Manager. - Logs equipme...
