The Production Vehicle Evaluation (PVE) test program validates that On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) systems are functioning properly on production-level vehicles. The OBD PVE Test Engineer is responsible for the acquisition, preparation and testing of production vehicles. Testing includes the demonstration of diagnostic functionality by invoking faults, collecting data and verifying appropriate detection.
