Job description

Audubon is currently seeking an Ironworker II to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Ironworker II performs skilled fabrication, erection, and installation of structural steel, reinforced iron for industrial facilities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Pulls or pries steel members into approximate position while member is supported by hoisting device. - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures. - Sets up and breaks down hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural-steel members. - Fastens steel members to cable of hoist and signals to operator lifting equipment. - Safe use of power tools such as saws, drills, planes, sanders, routers and grinders. - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. - Identifies vertical and horizontal alignment of members. - Aligns bolt members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted. - Cut steel members to make alterations.
