Bartender - Part Time (Indianapolis Winners Circle)

Job description

Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of OTB bars. DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: None: KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: - Takes orders from customers or Server. - Inventories supplies at beginning and end of shift. - Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks. - Serves wine and draught or bottled beer. - Collects money for drinks served. - Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies. - Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display. - Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks. - Prepares all daily paperwork at the end of the shift. - Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts. - Follows prescribed sanitary safeguards in handling all food and cleaning all surfaces. - Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions. Other duties as assigned: EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
