Job description

Coordinates the technical activities of the Nuclear Medicine Department, providing technical expertise for Technologists under the general supervision of the Radiologists. Core Competencies: - Demonstrates mastery of all technical aspects within guidelines of the Technologist I & II. - Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when dealing with customers. - Complies with organization-wide and department specific policies and procedures, including working knowledge of policies. - Provides healthcare services in own job category to all age groups. - Demonstrates competence in interpersonal relationships to all age groups. - Assumes responsibility and accountability for own professional growth and practice including maintaining current licensure and completing educational requirements. - Adheres to infection control guidelines: uses good handwashing technique, adheres to isolation policy, cleaning equipment between patients. - Assists student technologists who may rotate through the department. - Follows Universal Protocol by using two patient identifiers prior to working with a patient.
