Job Summary: Bowery Residents’ Committee (BRC) is seeking a qualified summer intern to join its Asset Management department, who can assist in various aspects of the management of BRC’s real estate portfolio. The portfolio consists of buildings, both owned and leased, in New York City. The intern will work with the VP of Asset Management who will provide mentorship throughout the internship duration. Through this internship opportunity, interns are encouraged to learn about the workings of BRC and gain an understanding of the asset management of its various buildings. The intern should be prepared to work in a team setting and coordinate with various departments. At the end of the internship, be able to gain a broad understanding of the physical and financial aspects of managing real estate. Key Responsibilities: - Under the guidance of the VP of Asset Management, work with facility managers of different buildings to corroborate asset breakdowns of major building systems. - Project required future capital work at BRC buildings through site visits with VP Asset Management and other data made available on the various buildings. - Assist in managing the compliance requirements for the...
