Department: Nutrition Services: Shift/schedule: Full Time (Salaried): GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Chief Clinical Dietitian. The Clinical Dietitian's primary job function is responsibility for coordinating the daily activities of clinical nutrition, supervising the work of the Registered Nutritionist. To assess the nutritional needs of individuals in health and disease and develop plans of care to promote health and well being utilizing scientific knowledge as well as principles of behavior management. Provides and/or coordinates nutrition education and counseling to individuals and groups. Takes action to increase patient satisfaction by problem-solving and problem referral. Provided technical support to the department and hospital. Interacts professionally as part of the health care team to ensure quality, timeliness, and excellence of service.
