Location: Holy Cross Cemetery - Pomona Status: Non - Exempt, Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: Under direct supervision of the Supervisor, overseas and supervises workers are engaged in providing burial services and maintaining cemetery grounds and equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Because all Archdiocesan employees represent the Roman Catholic Church, they are expected to conduct themselves according to the goals and mission of the Church in performing their work. - Under direction of the Supervisor, supervises cemetery grounds operation and grounds personnel. - Lays out graves/crypts for opening; inspects for accuracy of location, proper depth, and container; verifies attractiveness and safety of grave setups. - Oversees equipment maintenance and ensures proper operation of sprinkler system. - Reviews and resolves problems and complaints pertaining to grounds personnel. - Enforces safety rules and regulations, daily review of security of buildings, equipment, and supplies. - Make certain all grounds personnel follow proscribed procedures and policies. - Maintains accurate records and reports of inventories of all supplies. - Assigns work in order of priority; assists families, priests an...
