Staff Nurse - Stead Family Children's Hospital - LL2 Procedure Suite Prep and Recovery - ( 26002509 ) Description Sign-on incentive: Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a Staff Nurse to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. Characteristic Duties of our Staff Nurse include but are not limited to: Imaging and Procedure Center- (UI Stead Family Children's Hospital, Lower Level 2) This units innovative design combines imaging, sedation, procedures and recovery in one place. It has Iowa's first SOMATOM Drive computerized tomography system. One of only four in the world, the scanner provides lower dose radiation and faster studies, that allow for shorter sedation time. The unit includes six large procedure rooms with 15 private prep and recovery rooms. Procedures include endoscopies, colonoscopies, urology procedures, dental procedures, lumbar punctures, and renal, liver, and bone marrow biopsies.
