JOB SUMMARY: The Customs Entry Writer is responsible for filing entries with US Customs and other government agencies as well as interacting with importers, government agencies, truckers and warehouses via email and telephone. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Clearing goods through customs, working with other government agencies such as FDA, USDA etc. - Classifying goods according to tariff coding system. - Preparing and processing import documentation according to customs regulations, laws, or procedures. - Arrange for payment of taxes and duties on shipments. - Bill customers - Sign documents on behalf of clients, using powers of atto...
