Summary: The Mine Technician – Geology supports mining operations by assisting geologists with drilling programs, geological sampling, data collection, and ore control activities. The role contributes to the effective execution of day-to-day geological operations through accurate fieldwork, coordination of sampling activities, and timely communication of information. The position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in an operational mining environment. Familiarity with open pit mining processes, mobile equipment, and earthworks is desirable. Qualifications: - Take a proactive approach to identifying, mitigating and reporting hazards associated with departmental tasks, to ensure a safe work environment. - Work with geologists and drill supervisors to coordinate drilling activities in line with the operational plan - Coordinate, supervise and train samplers to ensure safe, consistent and accurate data collection - Assist with the supervision of the drilling contractor for safe and efficient delivery of services · Assist with geological mapping, rock chip, and stockpile sampling activities. - Operate and maintain equipment (e...
