Position Title OR Technician Days - Full Time: Great Bend Hospital: Position Summary / Career Interest: Under the supervision of the nursing department's management assists the perioperative care team in many aspects of patient care including but not limited to, patient care assistance, care of the environment, transportation of patients, supplies and equipment; interacts with other departments; performs cleaning; restocks and orders supplies; setup equipment and provides support para-nursing & housekeeping functions in the Operating Room,& PACU Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: - Demonstrates knowledge of sterile field. - Illustrates proper technique for transporting and positioning patients safely. - Displays understanding of proper body mechanics. - Demonstrates special positions and/or bed positions - Recognizes the area of surgical prep (clean or sterile). - Responsible for maintaining environmental cleanliness standards of the operating rooms and ancillary areas. - Demonstrates proper technique for surgical skins preps. - Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. - Assesses case schedule and determines equipment and supply needs. - Sets up equipment...
