About the Role Culmen International is seeking an Environmental & Chemical Hygiene Support to support the Naval Medical Research Unit–Dayton (NAMRU-D) Administrative Support Program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. What You’ll Do in Your New Role - Provide total management and oversight of the NAMRU-D hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and solid waste (hazardous waste (HAZWASTE), non-regulated waste, recycling, used oil, and universal waste), ensuring compliance with all federal, state, DoD, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), and the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) requirements. (Daily) - Monitor the management of hazardous waste, used oil, universal waste, recycled material, and nonregulated chemical waste until final disposal or transfer. (weekly) - Conduct announced and unannounced inspections of hazardous waste accumulation area(s) and chemical storage locations. (monthly) - Maintain the Authorized Use List for hazardous materials. (quarterly) - Work with chemical users to ensure chemicals are inventoried in accordance with the WRAIR/NMRC Joint Safety Manual.
