Organization: NCH-Novato Community Hospital Position Overview: Performs diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with policies, values and mission of the organization. Responsible for commonly performed echocardiography procedures with consistent proficiency. Procedures include: Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. - two dimensional transthoracic echocardiograms - exercise/dobutamine stress echocardiograms - agitated saline (bubble) studies - UEA (ultrasound enhancing agent) echocardiograms EDUCATION: Other: Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: RCS (CCI)-Registered Cardiac Sonographer OR ARDMS (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric) BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider: OR ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support: SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: General knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles, procedures, and views as well as the operation and maintena...
