Description Produce Stocker Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday; 12:30p – 8:30p 32 Hours Purpose : To build and maintain attractive displays of fresh produce and to provide prompt, friendly, and courteous customer service to help meet department goals for sales, margins, labor, and customer service. Reports to Produce Manager: Pay Level 1: Job Responsibilities: Customer Service: - Assist customers with product questions, in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner, referring them to other staff members when necessary. - Offer samples and suggestions for purchases and ways to prepare products. - Help customers with special orders. Stocking: - Replenish and rotate displays, culling several times daily, and following stocking priorities set by Produce Manager. Notify Produce Buyer and/or Produce Manager of out-of-stocks. - Pull damaged or spoiled goods promptly, following appropriate procedures for disposals and notification to the Produce Manager. - Label items accurately with PLC sticker and/or signs.
