Test Engineer Department: Operations: Employment Type: Permanent: Location: Chelsea (MI), United States of America Reporting To: General Manager: Description: Roles Overview: The Test Engineer is responsible for the setup, execution, and reporting of vehicle and component tests using chassis dynamometers. The engineer will follow standardized procedures to collect high-quality data that meets internal and customer specifications. This role requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Core Responsibilities: Test Operations: - Execute dynamometer tests in accordance with established test procedures and schedules - Monitor test execution to ensure compliance with test parameters and safety protocols - Interpret customer test requests and develop detailed test procedures, schedules, and data collection strategies. - Interface directly with clients to define requirements, present results, and manage expectations throughout test programs. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test setup, data acquisition, and control systems. - Champion process and innovation in support of improved testing methods and protocols.
