Overview Position Description - Die Cast Mold Maker Zinga Industries in Reedsburg, WI is seeking a full-time, on-site Die Cast Mold Maker. The Die Cast Mold Maker will design, build, repair, and maintain complex precision metal molds (dies) used in high-pressure casting machines to produce metal parts. The Die Cast Mold Maker will interpret technical blueprints, operate toolroom machinery (lathes, mills, CNC), and perform preventative maintenance to ensure high-quality, high-volume production. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities - Die Cast Mold Maker - Mold Repair: Repair or replace worn/damaged surfaces and components like pins, runners, and vents to extend tool life. - Trim Die Fabrication & Assembly: Build, adjust, and repair trim dies, fixtures using common tool steels. - Toolroom Operations: Set up and operate machinery such as grinders, lathes, milling machines, and CNCs to machine tool components to precise tolerances. - Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventive maintenance, disassemble and clean complex molds, and troubleshoot casting defects related to mold issues. - Technical Drawing Analysis: Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to ver...
