Financial Accountant

Job description

We’re looking for a full-time Financial Accountant to take ownership of reporting and controls across our Live division. Based across South Melbourne and Albert Park offices and reporting to the Commercial Manager (Live), you’ll lead month-end, maintain balance sheet integrity, and deliver clear, commercially relevant reporting that helps the business make smart decisions across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll build a deep understanding of how the Live division operates, from event-level performance to joint venture reporting, and use that insight to support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and performance analysis. Your work will directly influence how events are funded, tracked and delivered. What you’ll be responsible for: Financial Reporting & Month End - Lead month-end close for the Live division, including journals, reconciliations, management accounts and supporting schedules. - Prepare monthly reporting packs with meaningful KPI and variance analysis. - Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with Group policies and accounting standards. - Own detailed balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.
