Under general supervision and direction, Legal Counsel performs legal work, and may direct related administrative work, involving one or more legal practice area specialties and/or for various assigned business units/functions within the company. Duties may be performed directly for, but often times in support of more senior attorneys supporting, such units/functions. Performs legal and other duties generally considered at a law firm “associate” level of responsibility. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in reviewing, evaluating, and providing legal recommendations and advice on various matters, with a focus on professional representation of the company, mitigation of risk and compliance with applicable law. - Assist with advising business units/functions on the development, design, interpretation and application of policies, processes, standards and practices that meet legal, professional and company standards. - Assist with monitoring implementation and compliance of such policies, processes, standards and practices and evaluation of legal risk mitigation activities related ther...
