Department Summary The Chemistry Department at SJSU grants BA, BS and MS degrees. More details about the department can be found at https://www.sjsu.edu/chemistry/ Brief Description of Duties: We invite applications for a pool of part-time lecturers, should an opening arise, to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemistry. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the Department. The pool will remain in place for two calendar years; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must reapply. We are seeking outstanding lecturers who can teach small to large lecture courses as well as laboratories. Teaching areas include biochemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry. Excellence in teaching is expected. Positions start at the beginning of a semester and appointments may be renewed based on department need, funding, and performance.
